Vishal Veeru Devgan, born as on April 2, 1969, is a well-known Indian actor, director, and film producer working primarily in Bollywood. Famed as one of Bollywood's leading actors, he has appeared in over 100 films and won many honors, including four National Film Awards and 4 Filmfare Awards. In 2016, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri, India's prestigious civilian award. Devgn stepped into Bollywood with the romantic-action film *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a blockbuster that made him an overnight star. He subsequently featured in successful action movies such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic blockbusters like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His highly praised performance in *Zakhm* (1998) won him a National Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn delivered highly appreciated performances in movies like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006). His role as Bhagat Singh earned him his another National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he made a strong comeback with major commercial hits such as *Singham* (2011) and *Golmaal Again* (2017).
