All associate institutions have been requested by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to explore permitting halfway or lateral entrance of students who are unable to continue in engineering or other degree programmes. On the basis of “sympathetic considerations,’ the council has requested the institutes to enable these students to finish their degrees.
